Candidates must obtain all 9 mandatory units for a full award. The 5 additional units do not form part of the qualification, but are available for candidates who have the opportunity to demonstrate competence in these areas.

Mandatory units
TO 1 - Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment
TO 2 - Improve the customer relationship
TO 3 -Manage yourself
TO 4 -Create effective working relationships
TO 5 -Investigate the suitability of collection or delivery points for loading and unloading
TO 6 - Routing and scheduling of loads
TO 7 - Allocate the resources for the transportation of loads
TO 8 - Quote for the transportation of loads
TO 9 - Manage the movement of loads

Mandatory units
TO 10 - International road transport operations
TO 11 - Contribute to the selection of personnel for activities
TO 12 - Contribute to the development of teams and individuals
TO 13 - Lead the work of teams and individuals to achieve their objectives
TO 14 - Respond to poor performance in your team
